Fabled Spirit shaped with real promise on his handicap bow and clearly has better days ahead of him on that evidence, but MAKE A SPLASH could prove to be far better than an opening mark of 45. Tom Ward's filly didn't pull up any trees in maiden/novice company, but she's a half-sister to smart dual-purpose performer Thomas Hobson, who won the Ascot Stakes back in 2017, and is expected to find considerable improvement now upped to two miles. Si White heads the remainder.
