HIGH KICK KEV can win on his seasonal reappearance if he adds to past efforts. By a good sire in Maxios and related to the 88 rated Port And Brandy, the selection showed promise in point-to-points including victory at Tallow last February prior to scoring in a Clonmel bumper in April. That form is nothing special but he stays well and will appreciate today's softening ground. The race-fit Gunnery Sergeant has form on soft ground but although he receives 8lb from the selection, he remains a nine-race maiden. La Muleta has shown nice ability on better ground recently but soft ground could be a concern.
Prediction: 1st High Kick Kev, 2nd Gunnery Sergeant, 3rd La Muleta
