The Willie Mullins-trained KOPEK DES BORDES appears to have frightened off some of his potential opposition and with 8lb or more in hand on official ratings he is hard to oppose. The Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner in 2025, he won on his debut over fences at Navan before a second in the Arkle Trophy, though he did fall two out at Punchestown. Seen as a potential Champion Chase contender, he will need to take this to keep on track. Bowensonfire has a race fitness edge after winning at Cheltenham last month. He'll make sure the likely favourite knows he has been in a race, while Irish Panther cannot be ignored as a potential improver this season.
