Top 10 Buyout Candidates After the NBA Trade Deadline

1. Russell Westbrook

The Utah Jazz will ultimately buy out Russell Westbrook after being traded away in a deal that helped the Lakers land Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt from the Jazz.

Westbrook could end up in Los Angeles to team up with a former teammate, Paul George.

2. Patrick Beverley

The Magic sent Mo Bamba to the Lakers in exchange for Patrick Beverley. Bev won't stick around in Orlando. He'll get a buyout and look for a contender to take his talents to.

3. Danny Green

The Rockets landed John Wall and Danny Green in a three-team deal that brought Eric Gordon to the Clippers and Luke Kennard to the Grizzlies.

Wall will be moved along with Green in a cap space move by the Rockets. The entire league needs a shooter. Let's see where Green ends up. He'll have a ton of suitors when bought out.

4. John Wall

It sounds like the Phenix Suns could be in on John Wall. He would be another asset for the Suns, who traded for Durant. This would make sense, knowing that the Suns gave up a lot of depth for Durant and need to fill that void.

5. Justin Holiday

Justin Holiday was also traded to Houston. He'll probably get bought out too. He's got enough in the tank to help a contender.

6. Kevin Love

Ultimately, Kevin Love's time in Cleveland is about to end. He wasn't a part of any trade but will likely be bought out after the deadline. The Lakers would likely be heavy suitors for Love, who is very close to LeBron James.

7. Frank Kaminsky

Another Rocket who could get waived would be Frank Kaminsky. The Suns lost depth. He's not Mikal Bridges or Cam Johnson, but he's familiar with the team and would fit in well in Phoenix.

Just a thought.

8. Serge Ibaka

The Bucks sent Serge Ibaka to Indiana in a deal that sent Jae Crowder to Milwaukee. You'd have to imagine Ibaka getting bought out by Indiana.

He would fit nicely with the Miami Heat.

9. Reggie Jackson

Reggie Jackson was sent to Charlotte in a deal where the Clippers landed Mason Plumlee. Now it sounds likely that the Clippers will end up with Russell Westbrook.

As for Jackson, contenders out there will need his services.

10. Derrick Rose

Rose isn't playing for the Knicks anymore. He's riding the bench. He'll likely be bought out and then head to a contending team that could use his services. He's still good enough to play in this league and is a solid veteran presence too.
