Why Parsons Has Over 55% Chance to Win DPOY
Parsons has played in seven games for the Cowboys this season. He's got seven sacks with two forced fumbles to go along with 23 solo tackles. He's not leading the league in tackles. But he's top-five in forced fumbles and tied in second in sacks.
Last year, he finished with 13 sacks and three forced fumbles. He'll likely outdo himself in his second season.
With so many defensive players injured this season, Parsons won't have to do much to hold onto the DPOY. Dallas is one of the better defenses this season, and Parsons has anchored them. He deserves a lot of the credit.
Can Anyone Catch Micah Parsons For DPOY?
I'll say this. Von Miller has made an impact recently for the Bills. He's had at least one sack in every game but two. The Bills are coming off a massive win against the Chiefs, and Miller was a significant reason for Buffalo's win.
His pressure on the quarterback didn't go unnoticed, as he got behind the Kansas City offensive line easily around the corner. His six sacks are tied for 5th in the NFL. But if he can put more consistent performances together for Buffalo, he would be the one guy I think has the chance to pass Parsons.
It's still doubtful. But at +2500, it's something to think about.
