POETIC FOCUS was narrowly beaten at Clonmel last time and may be able to gain compensation. The Yeats mare was just denied at the line by Private Policy at the start of last month after a good duel, and although 3lb higher now she would be a deserving winner. Kayla's Friend also went down fighting when losing out by half-a-length to My Good Pal at Fairyhouse on Tuesday and if that race hasn't left a mark she is entitled to play a big part once more. Eaglewood has run with credit on her last couple of outings and she's another that has to come into calculations.
