KALA CONTI might be worth siding with here, getting a nice chunk of weight from Koktail Divin. The mare started last season with two impressive wins before a good run to finish runner-up in Grade 1 company at Sandown. She looked to be creeping into contention when falling at Aintree on her final start and is sure to be primed for this. Grade 1 winner Koktail Divin has to carry a 10lb penalty for his success at Aintree but is obviously very smart and should make a bold bid despite his weight. Jacob's Ladder, a Grade 3 winner over fences last season, looks the other main contender and it's a positive that Jack Kennedy takes the mount on him.
Prediction: 1st Kala Conti, 2nd Koktail Divin, 3rd Jacobs Ladder
