KATEIRA fended off the 2025 Champion Hurdle winner, Golden Ace, when she won this race last year and official ratings suggest the Dan Skelton-trained mare has an excellent chance of gaining back-to-back wins. Ooh Betty, who was third in the Scottish Champion Hurdle last time, is feared most, although Watamu has won three of her seven starts over hurdles and that consistency makes the five-year-old pick of the rest.
