Rated 101, he beat the recent Curragh Group 2 winner and Albany Stakes second Sun Goddess over C&D in May before finding only subsequent Coventry Stakes winner Great Barrier Reef too strong in the Marble Hill. A lacklustre effort in the Norfolk at the Royal meeting can be forgiven and he can resume his progress in these calmer waters.
